About the event
Imagine a concert that transcends the traditional stage. On April 12, 2026, soprano Lilly Abreu and a spectacular ensemble—featuring members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Cello Quartet, Cello Fury, pianist Rodrigo Ojeda, and conductor Flavio Chamis—will create an immersive experience at The Frick Art Museum Auditorium. The program pairs noted international works with the world premiere of Borealis, a powerful original composition for eight cellos by Chilean composer Boris Alvarado. With media artist Andrés Tapia-Urzúa's accompanying video projections, your contribution will directly support this ambitious fusion of contemporary classical music and visual art. Be a part of this dramatic and unforgettable event!
Support Artistic Innovation We are currently seeking partners and sponsors who believe in the power of cross-disciplinary art. By supporting Borealis, you are directly enabling the world premiere of a major new work and the union of Pittsburgh’s finest musical talent with cutting-edge media art.
